FOUND:
A gold ring
was found in the church last
week; it is
similar to a wedding band. We
cannot read the inscription.
Please call the office if it is yours.
Do you
Kroger or do you Meijer?
Whether you do your
major grocery shopping at Kroger or Meijer, you can help LPC earn a part of each
dollar spent. In addition to the Kroger gift cards we are offering, Meijer
gift cards are now available in $25 and $100 denominations with 3% going to our
church. Orders for either card can be made through Jan Nye.
Although Easter isn't until April,
next Sunday, March 7, is the deadline for ordering gift cards to be delivered in
time for those Easter baskets. There are inexpensive gift cards for fast food,
bookstores, and Blockbuster. There are also gift cards for Honey Baked Ham, your
favorite restaurants, and Family Christian Stores. Orders will be delivered on
March 14.
PATH TO THE PANTRY
This week's LIFE Food
Pantry needs are peas, sweet potatoes, all canned fruits, canned gravy, ketchup,
pudding, mustard, Bisquik™, hot cereal, mayonnaise, and magazines. Please
note: the pantry no longer needs empty egg cartons. Thank you for
supporting the LIFE Food Pantry.
Feinstein
Foundation’s
Annual
Challenge
Once again, LIFE is
participating in the Feinstein Foundation’s $1 Million Challenge to Feed the
Hungry. The project’s intent is to raise awareness of hunger in America and to
challenge local non-profit agencies to raise money to feed the hungry in their
communities. As a LIFE member church, you know the need is great here in
Loveland. In 2009 LIFE served approximately 5191 clients, reaching 1854
households, which was an increase of 9 percent from the previous year. We are
asking that you once again support our effort to raise money and collect food
items that will enable us to fill the shelves of the food pantry.
In the near future you will
receive information regarding the Feinstein Challenge. The project runs from
March 1 to April 30, 2010. LIFE and its clients appreciate your help.
LIFE thanks you for your
continued support and looks forward to working with you in the future as we
strive to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate here in the
Loveland area.
